Is there a Gateway solution available for automated sensor reading?

Yes, Gateway is available to order and it can be used with different Smart Sensor types. Please contact your local authorized Dodge distributor.

How do I know which Smart Sensors are within my Gateway's range?

Please see the Gateway Installation Manual.

What is the BLE range of the Gateway?

The Bluetooth Low Energy range depends on the Gateway's environment and obstacles. The range estimates for factory environments is 82 - 213 feet (25 - 65 meters).

What else do I need for the use of the Gateway?

Internet connection:

An available internet connection without VPN (open network).

Power supply:

In case PoE (power over ethernet) connection is not available, a power supply (PoE injector) for the Gateway is needed.

Ethernet cable:

CAT 5 cable (3 ethernet cables for initial setup. 2 ethernet cables for operation.) Refer to installation manual.

Computer:

Computer with WiFi is needed to configure the Gateway for customer network.

How do I know if my Gateway is online?

Your Gateway's online time can be viewed from your asset information in the portal. Click on and check your Gateway Online Status. You can also check if your Smart Sensor's data has been transferred to the Smart Sensor Portal within the next 24 hours from the installation of the Gateway.

Can the gateway connect to WiFi instead of having a wired connection to the network?

Yes, it can. A 2.4 Ghz network band is required.

Using Gateway, how many sensors can be monitored?

Currently, the Gateway is set up to collect data from 20 sensors simultaneously.

What is the Gateway's operating conditions?

  • Operating temperature: -40ºC to +55ºC (-40ºF to +131ºF)
  • Humidity: 0% to 100% non-condensing
  • Wind resistance: up to 85 MPH sustained wind and 135 MPH gusts.
  • Environmental rating (water resistant): IP65
